What if, in just 8 weeks, you knew exactly where your child was in their reading journey, how to support them and how to ensure they were making progress, before they entered school?
What if you could stop wondering whether you’re doing the right thing to help your child and feeling guilty that you’re not spending enough time doing so…
Letting you start enjoying your time with them again, knowing that you’re on the right track, making learning fun (if they even realise they’re learning!), and fitting it easily into your schedule.
If you want to learn how to give this to yourself, and you are determined to put yourself back in the driver’s seat…
KEEP READING!
Everyday there are adverts and stories online telling you about a child who was reading fluently at 3, or 2 or before they could even walk. You look at it and think, that can’t be right, but you don’t know for sure. You feel that your child should be playing, exploring the world, not sitting at a table watching video after video, or being forced to read words and books that they don’t even understand yet. But you don’t want your child to be falling behind.
You’ve heard that there are steps your child needs to learn before they can become confident readers, before they ever learn their first letter, but you’re not sure what these steps are, let alone how to teach them!
Knowing that your child is where they should be in their learning, that they’re making good progress and they love reading and more importantly, reading with you because you’re able to help them make learning to read fun.
If you want to learn how to support your child with their reading and gain the early reading skills to help them, I have something for you…
Here’s what you get with the School Ready Reader:
STEP 1: Learn
Understand the 3 main areas of learning that happen before your child is ‘ready to read’ and how to support your child to develop each of them. Learn how to integrate this learning into your everyday lives, making learning fun and engaging for your child without adding hours of preparation to your timetable.
STEP 2: Comprehend
This is the fun part! Explore how to implement your child’s learning in their reading. Introduce them to books in a way that takes the pressure off both of you and encourages them naturally to join in and show off their skills.
STEP 3: Apply
Work out how to fit reading into your (and your child’s) day in many different ways that require no more than 10 minutes of your time. Understand the different levels of reading and how to assess where your child is against these levels. Gain confidence that you know where your child is in their learning journey.

I’m Jen, a primary school teacher who specialises in Early Reading and Phonics.
I am passionate about reading and truly believe it is the gateway to all future learning. I know that enabling a child to read is the most important thing I do as a teacher and I love that moment when a child realises they ‘can’ read and suddenly goes from struggling to loving reading.
I know how important those formative stages of reading are, when a child is exploring the world around them and developing skills that will set them up for the rest of their lives. I have spent years supporting children with their development and talking to parents about how to scaffold their children’s learning at home.
Over the years I have lead many parent workshops and groups focusing on teaching parents how to support their children. I love giving parents the skills they need to support their children in their learning and demystifying the methods we use in education to ensure that every child gets the best possible start.
With Before ABC I have created the course I wish I could have given to the parents in my very first class.
1. How long is the programme, and how many hours do I need per week to commit to it?
The programme is designed to be completed in 8 weeks, though you have access to it for a whole year, so you can take as much time as you’d like!
2. How do I access the videos?
When you purchase the course you will be asked to create a login. This will give you access to the entirety of the course online. The videos are imbedded in each lesson so all you have to do is press play!
3. How do the Q&A sessions work?
Each week there will be 2, hour-long group calls (the time of which is decided by poll at the start of each month). You’re very welcome to sign up for whichever one you would like, or both! All the videos are recorded and posted to the announcements page, so if you cannot make a session, you can still access it later on. The calls will focus on discussing the group’s questions and offering support, as well as a chance to celebrate your achievements over the week! Any questions you have will need to be submitted in advance to ensure that I answer them fully and succinctly.
4. What is the deadline to join?
The first group calls will launch at the start of October, though you have access to the entire course from the minute you click the button. After that, there is no deadline, you can join whenever suits you best! If you join before the end of September, you will get 30% off the regular price!
5. What if I don’t like it?
There is a no questions asked, 14-day money back guarantee. 1:1 and group sessions will be deducted from the total returned.
